Origin Story

When my Mother and two young sisters were left without my Father’s support, I went to work.  First, I went to welding school, then I looked for the highest- paying work I could find in rural Colorado.

I worked at 11,300 feet elevation mining molybdenum.  I became a “silverback”, coated with silver “moly” dust at the end of the day.  Then I was a Carman in LA’s toughest railyards on the graveyard shift.  Welding, changing wheels and chasing trains.

And on…and on.

I often asked my older co-workers questions:

         “What do you regret most?”

         “What was your dream?”

         “Why didn’t you do it?”

The dreams were always different.

The answer was always the same.

      “I was afraid - afraid I couldn’t do it -

afraid I couldn’t support my family.”

       And on…and on.

I learned that what everyone wanted was on the other side of fear.  I learned that when you chase your passion, it helps to erase fear.

Thus “ARDNT” was born…a reminder to follow your heart.
